About Aangan
Aangan, means “courtyard,” and it was born of a longing - a longing to see India honoured for the artistry she wields, not diminished by the loud, garish souvenirs that have come to represent her.
India is a land with the highest number of crafts in the world: cloud-soft cashmere like mist over a Kashmiri meadow, Bhagalpur silks woven by fifth generation artisans in quiet courtyards, Dokra jewellery forged in fire and wax, and Chikankari needlework so fine, it’s like a breath on muslin.
Aangan is a curation of India’s elegance. Each piece is chosen in small batches, crafted with inherited skill passed down like a treasured heirloom.
Welcome to Aangan. The courtyard is open.
